May Magic League

The WoodForSheep Magic League is a six-week event featuring fast-paced games where you're in control of how often you play and who you want to match up against. Getting started is easy. You'll get three booster packs and build a 30-card deck out of the most exciting cards inside, plus basic lands.

League Nights
- Sunday nights - 7PM to 10PM
- Monday nights - 7PM to 10PM
- Wednesday nights - 7PM to 10PM
- Friday nights - 7PM to 10PM
Details, in no particular order:
- Players purchase a 'league pack' to participate ($36/$35 for members) - includes 6 packs of Amonkhet.
- Standard sitting fees apply for league days participated beyond the first.
- Players can enter at any week and can access the card pool at the week they enter (ex. Players that enter at week 1 can access the initial 3 packs, players that enter at week 4 can access 5 packs).
- 'League packs' will be left at the Game Centre.
- Players create a minimum 30 card deck to compete in matches with their available card pool. Players are allowed unlimited deck modifications between matches.
- In week 1, players can access 3 packs with additional packs being accessible in week 2, 4 and 5.
- Matches consist of one game; players may get one free mulligan per game.
- League points will be awarded as such: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.
- Players can compete against the same opponent a maximum of two times per week.
- Challenge - Pauper (week 3) - additional restriction on deck construction - only common cards are allowed.
- Challenge - Modified Commander (week 6) - additional restriction on deck construction:
- 50 card deck + 1 commander card
- Commander card can be any creature - but all cards in the deck must share the same colour identity as the commander
- Mana generated by the deck must match the commander or will be considered colourless
- Only 1 copy of a card is allowed in the deck, except for basic land
- Players start the game with 30 life
- Normal win conditions apply in addition to if a player's commander deals 16 total damage to the opponent, then that player wins
- Weekly prize will be given to the individual that collected the most League points in that week
- Additional prizes will be given at the conclusion of the league for: Most games played, Most League Points, Friendliest player (as voted on by all league participants), and random draw
